Dr. Ram Kailash Prasad Yadav: Professor and Head of Department. Prof. Yadav obtained his M.Sc. degree in Botany from Tribhuvan University in 1991 and Ph.D. degree in Ecology (plant-soil-microbe interaction) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2005. His major fields of interest are vegetation analysis, phyllosphere/ rhizosphere microbial colonization, plant secondary metabolites, agroecology/ agroforestry/ nutrient dynamics. Prof. Yadav is member of the Biology Subject Committee, School of Science, Kathmandu University. He has worked as a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Agricultural Resources Research, Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China (April-September, 2014; Nov.-April, 2016). Prof. Yadav has research experience in various projects funded by national and international organizations and has completed 6 research projects as PI and Co-PI.  He has supervised over a dozen and half M.Sc. theses and 1 Ph.D. student. He is currently supervising 4 M.Sc. and three Ph.D. students. Prof Yadav has published two books, eight reports and over three dozen papers in national and international journals/publications.
